Many of you might be wondering how citizenship works in this case? How does it applies?
Well, when a baby is born in Mexico he or she is a citizen of that country. And when baby is born of a foreign parent/s he or she is a citizen of that country also. So my baby girl is Mexican, Filipino and American.
Pretty neat and cool!
Reading what I have written about story of our adventure to welcome our baby girl in this world, it made me think of all those women who made it in the news which I only heard of in the news, TV or papers. But, I never met anyone from south of the Border, who crossed the US borders just to have a baby.
But as what one Randy Kruid said in his comment "Pretty incredible. And to think of all the foreigners who trek to our country to have there babies so they can be US citizens!"
Incredible indeed!
As a mother and have done what I did, still do not compare to those who are less fortunate to cross at any length, shape, way or form anywhere, for a hope of a better future.. I count my blessings..
