NW winter..

Seventeen years ago last December 21 when I first experienced my winter here in Portland. I remember it like it was just yesterday. It was also the hubby's birthday. The day I arrived from halfway around the globe, Weng arrived in what called, Winter!
I never been in one, only seeing it on movies and some TV shows before in my life. No clue what cold temperature was like. I noticed how the trees looked so sad in winter and  was dark at 5 in the afternoon and people were so bundled up.

I too was so bundle up. The hubby got me a down jacket of some leather and a scarf of which made my neck hurt. We walk on 23 Avenue, hubby announce that this street is famous in town. All of the street trees were lit with so m any holiday lights and people were out. I could see my breath in the air. And we dine in at one of the famous restaurant before called Machismo mouse! A Mexican restaurant. It was there that I tasted my first ever borito food!

I will never forget December 21. The first day of winter in In America, my arrival in America, the hubby's birthday, and winter solstice!
