Spring

In spite the wild weather we have had still I can not help to notice that Ducks are out in our pond! For years when this happens it means that, not long from now new duckling will be waddling too, with the mommy duck to get to our pond water for food to eat.
Ducks, house reflection and my shadow
Although it is cold and wet, its the time of the year where I can see everything to the ground. How the new buds of all the plants and tree starts to wake up and greet the warm sun and I smell the fresh crisp clean  air. Spring is my favorite of all the season. It is when I can just take a stroll and just marvel at the sight of living things sprouts and hear the birds sing every morning and the sound of our water fall lulling as it flow to our lower pond. As you can see it now exposed in the picture below. The hubby and a couple of  friends worked so hard in the rain to get it cleaned with a machete. I still wish for the goat!

In the summer of 1998 the hubby build our water falls. He was just recovering from Dengue Fever and just have enough energy to do something around the property/house. It took him most of the summer and made him feel good to do something. He tuned it to the key of A, I believe as he was building it.  Every summer the water fall disappear because of the blackberry bushes. And since we are not usually home in Portland during winter we do not get to see or hear this lovely water music we have. But this year we are. The days of rain and cold and wet has all its pluses and minuses but all well deserving to be appreciated. I am looking forward to Spring!
