Volunteer days

The last few days have been rather more than challenging. Why? To many, who are aware how the weather can be in this great North West region, it can be very depressing. And to those who are in the warm and comfy clothing, have fun and good on you!

The weather in this time/season teases me/us in our hunger for Vitamin D. And as you know, I am from Asia where I get at least 8 hours of Vitamin D. So at times it gets hard for me and for the family. Rough ride on the house boat can be. LOL! And not to  mention a couple of nice warm days gives a spin to the activities at home. I  supplement sun with a pill, my doctors best advise.

And on Mondays, since the beginning of this year, I have signed myself in to volunteer in the 2nd graders class. I had to get my act together and have a changed in scenery. And I did!
It was pouring rain outside but being with those 2nd graders where there were no short of energy gave me the lift. It was wonderful to see the eager look in their faces to learn. And today's  work/help for me from the teacher was introductory of graph lessons. It was very interesting! I do like to volunteer, I get to learn things also. Things that I have not paid attention to while I was in 2nd grade. But I do not remember doing graph in second grade in my time. Hmmmm.
