wood heat

For so long we have no worries of how to stay warm because we live in very small spaces like RV and oil filled  electric heaters do the job for such a long time. The kids were smaller then and easier to handle.

But now as few have noticed my introduction picture of our home in the North  and we use wood for heat. This is the first year that we stayed here for the whole winter and heating is a must.

Last Monday we were down to our few lumber literally for heat. And the hubby have been religiously looking daily for free fire wood in craigslist and stumble upon a warehouse that sells lumber that were scrap from big freight/cargo ships in town. Just in time we got loads for yesterdays big snow. And here I was helping to load beautiful beech lumber. The pile is almost as tall as me and I hope this will be enough to heat our brown bottom for the rest of this cold season and save some for the next to start. LOL!

My chainsaw and other wood cutting equipment will be busy for this summer to be more prepare for the next winter. Aticama is the most logical choice but no harm in being prepared.
