Growing up in the Philippines our Easter is celebrated differently. And when I arrived in America I had to be aware and learn what holidays are being celebrated here. But then we travel to Mexico and there too have holidays and much more than both US and RP combined.
As long as I can remember since having kids, my family partecipated one Easter egg hunt celebration! And you know where we did it? In Aticama! Isn't that interesting? A gringo put up the show!
And this year since the children and I are here in the US we are invited to an Easter egg hunt! This will be my boys second egg hunt and first for my Princess. This will be an interesting event to be experienced.
As a family we always observe and respects many holidays and celebration and at times participate in some. But the holidays and celebrations I like and love the most are the ones that are made a personal family tradition. It makes it more intimate and shares more meaning to each and everyone who is present in the moment.
I remember as a child we would have an Easter egg hunt after Easter church service. I kept the tradition with my own children and they in turn have done the same with their own. Yes family traditions are great memories for all.
