Me time

This past few weeks has been tough but very rewarding for me. As you may know the hubby is been away for business in Aticama. And this gives me a chance to be both ma and pa to my kids. It has been going very well. Although the first 3 weeks were hectic and busy, looking back it was not that bad.

This week is more like me time. I am able to stay up late and read and the thought of not bothering anyone while lights on late was a different experienced. This is not the first time that the hubby is away from us 4, but one of the longest by far. I like my me time, but being away from each other is not fun.

One of the things that I like to do more than others while the hubby is away is going thru his letters to me.
I like to re-read them. And sometimes the kids gets curious  when they see me and ask me things, which I love.
First glimpse, one of Oregon's beautiful land mark!
And here is an amazing fact  on our corresponding. I received a first letter mailed February 5th, and arrived to me February 16th 1994. Then I responded to it which he received as my first letter to him on February 29 1994. Why do I know that? Every time he receives letter from me he sends me a post card stating the time my letter arrived. Oh, it was so sweet..And here is what it said....

And more fact. From the first letter till April 29, 1994 I have received 2 packages, 11 long written letters, 11 postcards and we were full on in-love and spoke 4 times collect all during this time, and with a wedding planned! Keep in mind, we only hear each others voices on the phone and have never meet.
I can remember those days as if just like yesterday, and it always takes me back. I love the feeling.

9 AM

I have been able to write ahead of time and able set a schedule for postings that I would like to share in certain days and time. A blogger set up that I have learned to do. And this post is one of them, among a few of  past stories I posted. And as I found out about having a "me time" I can edit or add to postings for update like today.
Well, the hubby and best buddy uncle Bill are on the way back. I was informed Monday that they will be on the road Wednesday Morning the latest! They will be coming home driving in a VW bug. I did not hear anything Thursday morning, so I phoned and email the hubby to assume that they are on the road and that the kids and I will be expecting them Sunday. The kids and I were very excited. Specially the princess, he misses his Pops more than the 2 boys are showing. But right after I left a message on his cell the phone rang. The hubby informed me that they were just leaving. It's Mexico and things come up and slow packing was the reason. Thursday afternoon with a message that said they are officially on the road!
