Rose Parade..

Today my princess and I had girls day out! My boys including the hubby were being a baby about the weather and decided to stay and clean. So we left park the car luckily on one compact spot of a space. I was so proud of myself to able to park. But unfortunately I forgot my trusty Nikon s6 camera. I have my cell but it takes special connector to extract photos out. Darn. But it was so fun. It did not rain on us.
As you know Portland is known for its gray and rain and lots of it. It was still gray but can you believe it, no rain during the parade! Yay, we got lucky! We took Portland light rail to avoid traffic and gives me a chance to ride the rail again. It was packed.  A hundred years celebration of the Rose Parade but a bit short to have one hundred participant. The parade was about two hours of flower decorated floats, princess and Horses, gorgeous ones and lots of area Marching bands schools and others.. We watched the whole thing. We went prepared with our chair and snacks with blanket to keep us warm. Then we went for a long walk on the waterfront and saw Navy ships and  coast guards ships.. Lots and lots of people. V and I had our treat of Elephants ear and walk the Saturday market for sight seeing and played at Pioneer Square. Then we came home and the boys were busy.. They all cleaned up the area where our guest home is now located. For  months of repair, now she is situated in its designated spot with a porch!
You are looking at a 1968, I think!

You might recall my post about trailer repair/remodeling a space for guest.. And for 6 long months it is now looked like this... To read post and see picture of before click HERE.

  1. I watched the parade from the comfort of my living room but was so happy for everyone who were actually there. It didn't rain on their parade! I too thought the floats, dancers, musicians were all wonderful! Glad you had such a good time.

  2. Weng, your little guest trailer looks so cozy. I can imagain having a glass of wine, crackers and cheese while enjoying the view. Home made crackers of course. ;-)

  3. Tell us more about that sink. Is it wooden? Maybe teak or redwood? Years and years ago we had a similar little trailer parked in our yard. Each Summer my daughter would move in and have a little home of her own. She and her friends had the best time out there.
